Aims

The Public Lighting Group aims to:

  • deliver regional public lighting projects that eliminate duplication and capture economies of scale
  • undertake targeted advocacy on behalf of members and the sector
  • engage with stakeholders in a coordinated and collaborative manner
  • build the capability and capacity of members through knowledge sharing and professional development

Going Forward – Key Activities

Key activities over the next 3 to 4 years are –

2018        Appoint a part-time Executive Officer (2 days)

2018        Establish DNSP Forums

2018        Further develop the Community Value Statement for public lighting system

2018        Advocate for a review of the Public Lighting Code

2018        Support LED Retrofit of Main Road Lights – MAV, VicRoads &  Greenhouse Alliances

2019        Host DNSP Forums

2019        Prepare for the Electricity Distribution Pricing Review for the 5 year contract period 2021 to 2025

2020       Active participation in the AER’s EDPR process

2021        Final submissions to the AER’s EDPR process
